Gateway International Church Donates to Widows and Less-Privileged in Port Harcourt

Gateway International Church (GIC), a leading religious organization headquartered in Port Harcourt, recently donated food items and cash to widows and other underprivileged residents of the city.

Pastor George Izunwa, GIC’s lead pastor, explained that the initiative aimed to alleviate the economic hardship many face. He emphasized their desire to support the downtrodden, particularly church members, including widows struggling after losing their husbands.

“The benevolence program was categorized into three groups,” Pastor Izunwa said. “Widows, single mothers, businessmen, and students from the Ada-George area whose parents cannot afford school fees all received assistance.”

The church announced plans to hold this benevolence program monthly from now on.

Pastor Mathew Ogara, the church’s executive pastor, added, “We understand this is just a token, especially for those running businesses. We pray it multiplies in their hands.”
