Dog food sold by Walmart is recalled because it may contain metal pieces

“Walmart has issued a recall for 44-pound bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food sold in select states, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The recall, affecting 315 bags, was initiated by Mars Petcare, the manufacturer of Pedigree dog food, after concerns of loose metal pieces in the product. The affected bags have a best-by-date of March 4, 2025, and lot code 410B2TXT02.

Customers who purchased this product are advised to stop using it and contact Mars Petcare for a return. Walmart has cooperated with Mars to remove the recalled food from shelves in the affected states.

Instances of extraneous materials like metal in food products have led to recalls, emphasizing the importance of product safety and quality control measures.
